Homecoming Spirit Events are events hosted by the UA Homecoming Student Board in addition to our competitive events. All members of the UA community are welcome and encouraged to attend these events, regardless of participation in scored events.
Homecoming Kickoff
In celebration of the beginning of 2025 Homecoming festivities, the UA Homecoming Kickoff Event will include treats and entertainment for the UA community. The Kickoff will occur at 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 9 on the UA Student Center Lawn, and those participating in the Roll Tide Run will find themselves at the Kickoff upon completion of their 5K. The Lawn Games and Spades Tournaments will also occur at the Kickoff event beginning at 5:15 and 5:30 p.m., respectively.
Pep Rally
One of UA Homecoming’s most storied traditions, the UA Homecoming Pep Rally welcomes the arrival of the Homecoming football game versus the Oklahoma Sooners. We celebrate with iconic symbols of the Crimson Tide as the Million Dollar Band and UA Spirit Squads, words from UA Athletics coaches and senior athletes, and presentation of the 2025 Homecoming Court. The Pep Rally will occur at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 14 on the steps of the Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library. The UA Homecoming Queen, Tide Trophy recipient, Tide Division second and third place teams, and individual event champions will be announced during this time.
Bonfire
Guarded by members of UA’s ROTC, the Bonfire is an opportunity for the UA community to gather in celebration of the legacy and future of UA Homecoming. The Bonfire will occur immediately following the Pep Rally and will be located on the Main Quad.
Halftime
UA Homecoming’s festivities culminate in the Halftime Show of the football game versus the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, November 15. At this time, the Million Dollar Band, ROTC, UA Alumni Association, and President Mohler will join us on the field in recognition of the 2025 Homecoming Court and Queen, the recipient of the Kathleen Cramer Cup, and the UA Homecoming Student Board. The Crimson Division second and third place teams and Tide Trophy recipient will also be recognized at this time.
